In the early morning of December 2, 1996, a luminous object was sighted by several people who live near the School of Aeronautical Specialists (EEAR) in Guaratinguetá (SP).
The next day, a ufologist from the city of Lorena (SP), Walter de Oliveira, was at the site and discovered a circular mark in a pond 100 meters from the EEAR. It was approximately 8 meters in diameter and circular in shape.
Inside the brand there was a type of grass (Taboa) that was crushed clockwise, dry, without chlorophyll and with signs of exposure to heat because it was singed.
At four points on the edges of the circle, as well as inside, there were burned spots and on the outside of the mark the vegetation was intact.
During the research, ufologists filmed and photographed the strange mark. Some vegetation samples were collected and sent for analysis at UNITAU, in Taubaté (SP).
Later, with the disclosure of the case, the place was landed under the allegation of building a border between the local aeroclub and the School of Specialists.
