Michio Kaku is an theoretical physicist, futurist, and popularizer of science well renowned and already widely recognized in the scientific community for his theories on quantum mechanics, superstring theory, supergravity, supersymmetry and hadronic physics, also known worldwide for his lectures and participation in documentaries on astrophysics and cosmology for TV.
He is the author of several books of scientific dissemination, and has also made several appearances in television programs explaining the most “esoteric” concepts of modern physics.
In early 2011, Michio Kaku gave a lecture at New York University explaining the 3 types of possible extra-terrestrial civilizations, this is the Kardashev Scale, a method proposed by Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev to measure the degree of technological development of a civilization, classifying them through the amount of energy collected, used and processed.
